《Hocus Pocus》一詞源於羅馬的古老語言,現經常使用在當魔術師變出某種把戲、發生令人驚奇的改變時所說的術語。作品的造型上,兩端各有一個圓球,兩個圓球一大一小,為向外綻放的有機形。造型像個種子,又像星星或是花的樣子,像是正在成長的生物體,象徵著東華大學的各個學術領域在追求高深學問過程中的變幻莫測與有趣性,以及未來多采多姿的可能性與發展性。

"Hocus Pocus " derives from the ancient language of Rome, is now frequently used as a buzzword when magician conjures up some kind of amazing tricks.

There is a ball at each end of the work blooming organic outward, one is big; the other is small. The shape looks like a seed, a star, even a flower. It seems as an growing organism which symbolizes NDHU in the pursuit of interesting and unpredictable knowledge as well as the colorful and developing future.
