「心的方向」此功能性作品設計理念以大家熟悉的心型圖像為概念，使用抽象造型手法，設計出一種非刻板印象中一心的圖案，將它造型立體化、趣味化、實用化。三件石雕作品量體呈現飽滿，比喻學子們求學求知的過程。如流暢般線條凝聚交會出心的尖端，向前延伸發展，以「前瞻」，「創新」、「服務」之心，發揚東華之特色。

"Direction of the Heart " is a functional piece. Its design concepts use the most familiar heart-shaped as expression. With an abstract modeling approach designing, it forms a non-stereotype image. Then, it's shaped three-dimensional, interesting and practical. These three stones carving present abundance to signify the learning process of students. Such as smooth lines cohering the point of heart, and extending forward to foresight, innovation and service, in order to exalt characters of Dong Hwa.
